AREA BOUNDARY DESCRIPTIONS

 

 

Area 1 – Bounded on the South by the Saluda River and the East by Broad River. The western boundary runs between Carl Shealy Rd and Twin Gates Rd. just west of Ballentine. The line extends west on US Hwy 76 to White Rock , then north on Mt. Vernon Church Rd across I-26. Continuing north as Freshly Mill Rd. then Left on Wash Lever Rd. Then follow Despot Sites Rd. to Broad River. (This boundary is consistent with the 29063 Zip Code.)  Includes St. Andrews, Irmo, Ballentine, Dutch Fork and includes White Rock Acres area.

 

Area 2 – Bounded on the East by the Congaree River and on the North by the Saluda. The western boundary is defined by I-20  from Saluda River Southwest to where Woodcraft Drive annexes I-20. The line then continues southeast with Shirway Rd.  After Old Barnwell the boundary becomes Mac Circle, Happy Ridge Drive, Steele Drive to (602) Platt Springs Rd. The southern boundary intersects just east of the I-26/Hwy 119 intersection where Hwy 119 meets the Congaree River and includes Silver Lake. Extends to the west to the intersection of Wire Rd. and US Hwy 321, then extends west to south of the Fish Hatchery Rd./ Wild Meadow Rd. intersection.

 

Area 3 –Bounded on the South by Gervais Street, North out Two Notch Road, then let on Fontaine Rd. To I-277. North on I-277 to Killian Road. Then west on Killian Rd. to US Hwy 21, then west on Koon Store Rd. Then South on US Hwy 321 to Dubard-Boyle Rd. to Winterwood Rd. then Harmon Rd. to Broad River. Bounded on the west by Broad River. Includes Eau Claire, Elmwood, Denny Terrance, Lake Elizabeth.

 

Area 4 – Bounded on the Southeast by Ft Jackson, on the east by Kershaw County. North by Fairfield County,  on the west by US Hwy 321, south to Koon Store Rd., north on US Hwy 21 to Killian Rd. West on Killian Road to I-77 South, I-77 to I-277 to Fontaine Rd., to Two Notch Rd. North to Decker Blvd. to Ft. Jackson Boundary. Includes Columbia Mall, Blythewood, Lake Carolina, Lake Columbia, University Club, Ashley Oaks, Pontiac.

 

Area 5 – Bounded on the south by Forest Drive, the west by I-77 to Decker Blvd. to Two Notch Road. Then Two Notch back to Forest Drive. Includes Arcadia Lakes, Forest Acres, Spring Lake, Rockford Lake, Forest Lake.

 

Area 6 – Bounded on the Eat by I-77, on the north by Forest Drive, Then Millwood south to Us Hwy 378/76 (Devine, Garners Ferry Rd. to I-77. Includes Lake Katherine, Forest Acres and Kings Grant.

 

Area 7 – Bounded on the south by I-77, to the Shop Rd. I-77 interchange where Gill Creek meets I-77.  then north to Garners Ferry Rd. near Midlands Technical College, Devine St. and Millwood to Gervais St.. (US Hwy 378/1). Then bounded on the west by the Congaree River. Includes Five Points, Shandon, Olympia, Rosewood, and Arthurtown.

 

Area 8 – Bounded on the Southeast by the Congaree River, on the East by Lower Richland Blvd., on the north by Ft. Jackson, includes Pennington Acres, Hampton Acres and Yorkshire off Leesburg Rd. The bounds along Garners Ferry Road to the Midlands Technical College area then follows Gill Creek back to the I-77/ Shop Road intersection. Then I-77 to the Congaree River. Includes Pine Wood Lake, Caughman Road, Trotter Road, Sunview Lake, Quail Creek and Quail Hills. Allbene Park is on both sides of Lower Richland Blvd, but is listed only in Area 9.

 

Area 9 – Bounded on the West by Lower Richland Blvd., and on the Southeast by The Congaree River, and the east by Sumter County line. Includes Horrell Hill, McEntyre Air National Guard Station and Eastover.

 

Area 10 – Bounded on the Southwest by the Aiken County line, on the Southeast by Orangeburg and Sumter County lines. West on I-20 to the Aiken line.

 

Area 11-City of Lexington between I-20 on the Northeast, Saluda River and Lake Murray on the north. Caulks Ferry on the west. A section of Area 11 is southeast of I-20. It follows Caulks Ferry southeat to the intersection of Pond Branch Rd., then east to Platt Springs Rd., north on Steele Drive, Happy Ridge Drive, Mac Circle and to where Shirway Rd. meets I-20. Includes Lexington, Red Bank, Lexington Country Club and Lexington High School. And Counts Ferry Road.

 

Area 12- Bounded on the south by I-20, on the east by Calks Ferry Rd., and on the north by Lake Murray. The western boundary is Saluda County and Aiken County.

 

Area 14 – Bounded on the south by Lake Murray (except for properties located on the water), The west boundary is west of Ballentine at Twin Gates Drive (29036 Zip Code is in Area 14, extends along  S Hwy 76 to White Rock, then north on Mt. Vernon Church Rd across I-26. Continuing north as Freshly Mill Rd. then Left on Wash Lever Rd.Then Despot Sites Rd. to Broad River. (29036 and 29075 Zip Codes boundary lines). The western boundary is the Newberry County line. Includes St. Andrews, Irmo, Ballentine, Dutch Fork and includes White Rock Acres area.

 

Area 15 - North Richland County - Bounded on the west by Broad River and on the south by Harmon Rd., Winterwood Rd., Dubard Boyle Rd., Koon Store Rd. to US Hwy 21 north to Killian Rd. to I-77. I77 North to Fairfield County. Fairfield County is the northern boundary.

 

Area 20 – Properties Located on the northeast shore of Lake Murray.  Irmo, Hilton, and Chapin side of Lake Murray. Could be Richland or Lexington County. Properties not located on the water are in Area 14 or Area 1.

 

Area 21 – Properties located on the shore Lake Murray in Newberry County. Properties not located on the water are in Area 90.

 

Area 22 - Properties located on the shore of Lake Murray in Saluda County. Properties not located on the water are in Area 80.

 

Area 23 - Properties located on the shore of the southern side of Lake Murray in Lexington County west of Lake Murray dam. Properties not located on the water are in Area 12 or Area 11.

 

Area 30 – Kershaw County – Bounded on the west by the Richland County line, on the east by the Wateree River, and on the north by Fairfield County.

 

Area 31 – Kershaw County East of the Wateree, Bounded by the Wateree River on the east, Sumter County, Lee County, Chesterfield County on the South and Southeast. Lancaster County and Fairfield County on the north.

 

Area 40 – Sumter County

 

Area 50 – Calhoun County

 

Area 60 – Orangeburg County

 

Area 70 – Aiken County

 

Area 80 – Saluda County

 

Area 90 – Newberry County
